Diagnostic Assessments
For children (over 8 years), teenagers and adults
The assessment process is an exciting and positive experience. It will make sense of past difficulties and recommends ways of utilising unique abilities to reach your full potential, fulfilling ambitions and dreams.
The 3 stages to the assessment procedure are:
- A 2 hour session involving a diagnostic interview and a variety of appropriate tests to help build up a picture of your learning and thinking style and how you process information.
- A written report including:
- Diagnosis based on the interview and test results.
- Full recommendations appropriate to your situation (for example in the workplace, in education or training.)
- Personal recommendations to enable you to understand and utilise your talents.
- Feedback session(allow 1 hour). This is a chance to talk through anything that you don’t understand in the written report and to discuss what happens next, as the assessment should be seen as a starting point to addressing your dyslexia!
